A Parisian Napoleon III Mirror

A fine French Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style mantle mirror, the etched and gilt frame with rounded top corners, acanthus leaf pattern and string-of-pearl mouldings and decorated with an outsized allegorical crest, the overflowing basket for Abundance, the crossed musical instruments for Harmony, as good wishes for the home. The original gilding retains a good and soft patination, showing the original gilder's etched foliate patterns and overlays of gold leaf. Retaining the original mirror plate.
