A French Empire Chandelier

A French Empire style gilt bronze and patinated metal six light chandelier, retaining its original chains and ceiling cup. Each of the six arms in the shape of a gilt bronze stylised foliate scrolls. The pediment is decorated with a group of three gilt bronze statuettes of Classical figures, standing below an overhanging 'Palmette'. Please note the jewellery-like quality of the metalwork. Area of Paris, circa 1930.

Condition report: In excellent and original, fully restored condition. Freshly cleaned and re-wired to Australian safety standards using gold silk electrical cords.
Dimensions: Diameter 60 cm, height 40 cm, plus chain and ceiling cup.
