An 18th century French Louis XV period walnut side table, the flanks with haut-relief carved 'Rocaille' decorations around openings, which are used as as carrying handles. This type of 'occasional' furniture was moved by servants to suit the activities of the hour. Retaining an excellent, bronze-like walnut patina. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris) circa 1760.
