A French Art Deco Fruit Bowl

An elegant, early 20th century French Art Deco period silver plated fruit bowl retaining its removable glass inner lining, fitted with large carrying handles decorated with haut-relief stylised flowers and foliate motifs, the body decorated with stylised linenfold patterns. The interior of this bowl is engraved with the makers' mark: "Orfèvrerie Dilecta, France, registered design nr 504". Area of Paris, circa 1920.
