A 19th century French cast and fretted brass "Peacock" folding fire screen, the nine wedge-shaped panels folding into the central part. Note the jewellery-like quality of the cast and gilt brass, and of the intricate fretwork. Area of Paris, circa 1880.

Condition report: In good and original condition, showing very slight wear in keeping with its age.
Dimensions: When open, length 114 cm, height 75 cm.
