Miguel Meirelles trained as a conservator of antique furniture at the “Istituto per l’Arte e il Restauro” in Florence (1978-1980), and today runs his Melbourne antiques retail shop at the same premises as his conservation workshop. The workshop is kept busy working on items that Miguel imports from overseas, and also on furniture belonging to local collectors and museums.
