An 18th century 'Armoire de Mariage'

A fine and elegant late eighteenth century French Louis XVI period walnut 'Armoire de Mariage' from the area of Arles, in the South of France. The facade carved with haut-relief floral and foliate motifs, the pediment with a central medallion surrounded by swags and an outsized bow, the plinth with a central carved and fretted urn motif.

Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition. Retaining the original, rich bronze-like walnut patination. Requiring a clean and a wax & buff.

Dimensions: Height 236 cm, width 134 cm (152 at the pelmet), depth 60 cm.
