A large pair of early 20th century French wrought iron garden gates, each decorated with 'C' and 'S' scroll-work, and with haut-relief geometric patterns. The shaped top with a book=matched scroll and with "poignard" spear-heads. Note the solid, early construction technique, with riveted 'ties' holding the scroll-work elements. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1900.

Condition report: In good and original condition, showing wear in keeping with its age. Repairs required to hinges and to areas corroded by weather, particularly the lower panels.
