A fine, 18th century French Louis XVI period carved and Trianon grey painted 'Fauteuil à la Reine' armchair with an upholstered seat, back-rest and arm-rests and retaining the well-worn, original milk paint finish. Note the elegance of the proportions and the arched-back and the wonderful patina of the painted finish. Area of Paris, circa 1780.

Condition report: In good and original condition, showing wear in keeping with its age. Needing joints checked, gentle cleaning of surfaces, re-upholstery.
