A pair of elegant and comfortable French Louis XVI style 'Bergeres a Oreilles' wing-back armchairs, the finely carved frames decorated with haut relief Neoclassical motifs including fluting, continuous-ribbon mouldings and paterae, the backrest with a shaped 'Chapeau de Gendarme' crest. Fitted with loose seat cushions, for extra comfort. Area of Paris, circa 1930. 

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition.
Dimensions: Width 57 cm, depth 55 cm, height of backrests 100 cm, height of seats 43 cm.
