A French Louis XV style, carved beechwood "Bergère en Gondole" tub armchair standing on elegantly shaped Cabriole legs, the seat height being suitable for use as a desk armchair. Please note the elegant and comfortable curved backrest and also the finely carved haut relief flowers and foliate decorations. Area of Paris, circa 1900.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition. Requiring replacement of woven cane to all panels of the backrest. Estimated cost of cane repairs, circa $1,700.
