A Louis XV ‘Corbeille’ Queen Size Bed

An early 20th century French Louis XV style carved and painted and gilt queen size bed, comprising a bed head, a ‘Corbeille’ footer and the original, carved side rails. The side rails which have been sympathetically lengthened to accommodate a standard Australian queen-bed mattress length. A slatted timber base has also been made for this bed. Area of Paris, circa 1930.

Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition.( base is at warehouse )

Dimensions: Overall width 150 cm, internal width 143 cm. Height of header 120 cm.
