A French Louis XVI Bed

A French Louis XVI style, carved and painted bed, the header and footer decorated with carved and painted timber swags, knotted bows and paterae, and fitted with finely woven cane. Circa early 20th century.

Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition.

Dimensions: Overall width 149 cm, length 212 cm, height 158 cm. Presently this bed can fit a 150 x 200 cm mattress, which is 5 cm short of a standard Queen size. On request, our workshop is able to extend the side rails to fit a 205 cm mattress.
