An 18th century French Louis XV period, solid walnut "Buffet Deux-Corps" cupboard of fine quality and proportions, decorated with haut relief carved foliate and flower motifs, the plinth with a large carved and fretted shell motif. Retaining the original, nicely-faded and luminous patination. The four doors open up completely, including the central door-transoms, making this piece possibly suited as a TV/ stereo cabinet. Please note the early construction techniques used in the making of this piece. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1770.
