A French Art Deco Armchair

An early 20th century French Art Deco period red-lacquered and gilded Bergere "tub" armchair, the curved wrap-around backrest moulded and painted with a scarlet and gilt finish, standing on turned and reeded legs. Please note the very "chic" colours and the elegance of the curvature of the back-rest, and of the shape of the arm-rests flowing down to the front rail. Retaining its original 1930's brocade fabric, in good condition. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
