A French Library Setting

A 19th century French Regence Library/ Study style set, including a turned and ebonised timber armchair for the desk, and two matching chairs for the guests. The armchair has a high backrest above scrolled arms and baluster-turned legs decorated with shaped 'X' stretchers. Each of the chairs and the armchair have seats which are of a height to sit at a table or at a desk. Provenance: a lawyer's office in Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1880.

Price is for the complete set of three.

Condition report: In good, as found condition. The fabrics may still usable but will need steam cleaning.

Dimensions: Armchair: 63 cm wide, 50 cm seat height, height backrest 105 cm. Chairs: 46 cm wide, 50 cm seat height, height backrests 95 cm.
