Two French 'Tub' Armchairs

A pair of early 20th century French Art Deco period, fully-upholstered 'Crapaud' tub armchairs, standing on turned feet which are completely covered by a 'skirt' of long braids, the rounded back-rests decorated with scrolled arm rests. Both the backrests and the loose seat cushions are diamond-buttoned. Area of Paris, circa 1930.

Each armchair is sold separately. Price is for each armchair. One pair sold.

Condition report: In good, as found condition. The original velvet fabric and the braids have just been steam cleaned and are in good condition.
Dimensions: Width 66 cm, depth 75 cm, height of backrests 65 cm.
