An elegant pair of French Art Deco period carved and painted beechwood "Bergères en Bateau" tub armchairs, the armrests curving outwards (like a boat), the seats fitted with separate, plush cushions. Please note the elegant Neoclassical proportions of these armchairs, inspired by the French Louis XVI style. Area of Paris, circa 1930.

Condition report: In excellent, as found condition. The fabrics are pristine condition, the original painted finishes are nicely worn.
Dimensions: Width 85 cm, depth 58 cm, height of backrests 79 cm.
