A fine, 19th century French Napoleon III period statuette in white 'biscuit' porcelain depicting two 'Amours' fighting over a fallen heart, after an 18th work by Étienne-Maurice Falconet (1716-1791), the rear of the plinth signed "Falconet". The statuette sits on its original, turned Siena marble plinth. Please note the wonderful movement in this sculptural group. Area of Paris, circa 1870.

Condition report: In excellent and original, unrestored condition. No chips or cracks.
Dimensions: Overall height 34 cm, diameter of biscuit plinth 20 cm.
