A Classical Venus
An 18th century French white Carrara marble garden statue, and exact copy of the Venus Callipyge, (also known as the Aphrodite Kallipygos), a 1st century BC Classical Roman statue, now located in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples, Italy. The Venus is seen here lifting her tunic to uncover her hips and buttocks, while looking over her shoulder to appraise them.
Condition report: In good and original condition, the surfaces eroded by the elements and with a patina of moss and lichen. Small damages to the Venus' nose and to one of her fingers.
