A set of twelve18th century Wine Glasses
A set of twelve early 18th century French blown glass wine glasses, the elegantly tapered cylindrical bowls hand-blown, standing on simple baluster-turned stems. These wine glasses show their wonderful hand-made character with 'wobbly glass, and their slightly uneven shapes and heights and clear glass colour nuances. The underside of the plinths show the pincer marks of the glassblower. Area of Normandy, circa 1780.
