A Parisian Cushion Mirror

A very fine, mid 19th century Regence style, French Napoleon III period, gilt pastille-work ‘Cushion’ mirror of octagonal shape and excellent proportions. The frame is decorated with finely carved foliate and continuous-ribbon motifs. Retaining the original water gilt finish and the original mirror plates including the central, bevelled mirror plate. Area of Paris, circa 1860.
Condition report: In good and un-restored condition, retaining all of its original mirror plates, two of them currently loose.
Dimensions: 105 x 90 cm.
