A Pair of Louis XV Wall Lights
A pair of fine and large, mid 19th century, French Napoleon III period fire-gilt bronze two-branch Louis XV style wall lights decorated with finely cast and chased foliate scrolls. Note the wonderful Rococo movement in the branches. Originally made for candlelight, these wall lights were later wired to electricity. Stunning, original gilt on bronze patina. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
Condition report: In good and un-restored condition, requiring to be wired to Australian safety standards.
