A pair of French Wall Brackets
A pair of mid 19th century, French Napoleon III period, finely carved and parcel gilt walnut wall brackets, the fronts decorated with shell motifs and with swags. These brackets were designed to hold up large vases on their tops, and possibly statuettes or smaller vases in front of the niches below. Area of Paris, circa 1860.

Condition report: In good and un-restored condition. One of the brackets requiring repairs to a carved scroll.
