A Pair of Floral Candelabra
Reference No: 497
A pair of mid 19th century French Napoleon III period fire-gilt brass four light candelabra, of wonderful personality. Each candelabrum is in the shape of a fretted tripod base sprouting a tall plant with vine leaves and flowers, and bearing heads of wheat and bunches of grapes. The fire-gilt finish has accumulated a dark patina over time, which when cleaned off reveals a warm glow in the gilt metal. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
Price is for the pair.
