A Pair of Large “Bonbonne” Bottles

Two early 19th century French Provincial, dark amber-coloured hand-blown glass “Bonbonne” demi-john bottles, used to store wine, cider or Calvados brandy. This sort of bottle has the wonderful and rustic character of blown glass, made in rural France. Area of Normandy, circa 1820. There are two bottles left. $700 per bottle.
These bottles are currently able to be viewed at Michelle Kindness Design, 21A Beatty Ave, Armadale VIC.
Condition report: In very good and original condition.
