A pair of Parisian Bouillotte Lamps
A pair of fine, identical Parisian gilt brass two-light French Empire style Bouillotte table lamps, each fitted with its original painted and parcel-gilt tôle (metal) adjustable-height oval lampshade. The arms of the lamp-holders in the shape of swans’ necks and heads, a symbol of Josephine Bonaparte. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
Condition report: In good and original condition. Re-wired to Australian safety standards.
