A Normandy Pine Farmhouse Table
A quirky, early 19th century French provincial farmhouse with a well-worn and faded pine top, standing on chamfered square-section legs joined by a long ‘H’ stretcher. A fifth leg supports the center of this long table, and despite which the table has a slight sag, developed over the years. Note the fact the top is made essentially of two tops, the old and characterful farm workshop repairs, and also exceptional milky colour of the well-burnished timbers. Area of the Lower Normandy, circa 1830.
