A Louis LXVI Bergere Armchair
A 19th century French Louis XVI style carved and painted Bergere armchair of good Neoclassical proportions, designed with elegantly sweeping arms and curving back-rest, the shaped seat fitted with a separate cushion for extra comfort. Note the fine, twist-turned pilaster arm-rest supports. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition.
