A large French Measuring Jug

A rare and exceptionally large 19th century French oak and brass-banded pichet measuring jug, used for serving wine and cider. This is fine coopering work from wine barrel-makers. Note the Champagne bottle, for size comparison. Area of Normandy, circa 1880.
This pichet will make a wonderful umbrella and walking-stick stand.
Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition.
