A French Wrought Iron Chandelier
An early 20th century French finely wrought iron chandelier of four external lights attached to a circular body decorated with a fretted ‘S’ scroll-patterns. Each of the arms is decorated in the shape of simple scrolls. Retaining its original solid steel chains and its ceiling cup. Note the wonderful blacksmith’s work, with hand-made rivets and metal ties. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
Condition report: Complete and in excellent condition, requiring to be re-wired to Australian safety standards.
Dimensions: Diameter 67 cm, height 78 cm plus any required length of hanging-chain.
