A French Street Lantern

A 19th century French copper and glass-panelled Gasolier lantern of fine quality, the copper with an old and weathered patina. Retaining its original ‘chimney’ and the hand-threaded fixing-bolts. Retaining its original fitting for attaching the lantern to a wall-mounted bracket or to a lamp post. On request, this lantern can altered, and be made to be ceiling-hung. Area of Paris, circa 1860.
Condition report: In good and original condition. Requiring rewiring to Australian safety standards.
