A French Restauration Gueridon Table
An early 19th century French Restauration period “gueridon travailleuse” table, the turned top and middle shelf with raised edges, standing on a tripod plinth. The walnut timbers nicely faded over time. This period of furniture is known for the simplicity of its Neoclassical designs. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1820.
Originally made for use as a knitting/ sewing work table, this gueridon is very suited to be used as a tall wine table.
Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition.
