A French Country Coffer
An early 19th century French oak coffer of long proportions, the simple front decorated with panelling and a central bas-relief carved 'diamond', a shaped lower rail, standing on tall Regence style legs. The oak retains an excellent colour and patina. This coffer being in as-found condition, please note the mouse-hole chewed into the front – (our workshop can repair this, if required). Area of Normandy, circa 1820.
