A French Buffet Deux-Corps
An elegant, late 18th century French Louis XVI period solid oak “Buffet Deux-Corps” of fine quality and excellent proportions, decorated with Neoclassical motifs such as fluting, dentils and ‘rosettes’. Retaining the original, nicely-faded and luminous patination. The four doors open up completely, including the central door-transoms, making this piece ideally suited as a TV/ stereo cabinet. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1770.
