A fine Parisian Standard Light
An elegant 19th century French wrought iron standard light of classic design standing on a well-wrought tripod base. The stem is decorated with out-sized gilt tole-work acanthus leaves. Retaining the original Gasolier burner. This Standard light was later electrified. Our workshop can supply a suitable lampshade for this light. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
Condition report: In good and unrestored condition, requiring to be rewired to Australian safety standards, with black silk electrical cord and a foot-switch.
