An Asparagus Serving Dish
An early 20th century French majolica asparagus serving dish, the convex bowl decorated in the shape of a bunch of asparagus stalks held together with ribbons, standing on garlic-shaped feet. Note the perforations in the bowl, that allow for excess water to drip from. This serving dish is used in conjunction with a porcelain or silver platter. Area of France, circa 1930.
