An Anglo-Indian Float Light
An Anglo-Indian 'float' ceiling light, the main body made of hand-blown glass, fitted with its original blown glass canopy. All metal parts including light fittings, chains and rings are patinated to a gilt bronze colour. Please note, the float light's canopy actually fits onto the top of the lantern, preventing insects from entering it. Area of Jodhpur, circa 1930.
