An Art Nouveau Majolica Jardiniere

A rare, early 20th century Art Nouveau period herb planter “jardiniere” in the shape of water lilies in a pond, the base larger than the opening, to allow the soil to retain moisture. Typical of the work of Gustave de Bruyn (1938-1916). Area of Lille, Northern France, circa 1900.
