A long French Bistro Table
An exceptionally long, early 20th century French cast iron table fitted with a honed and waxed, rounded-cornered Carrara marble top, standing on four Classically-shaped uprights joined by ‘X’ stretchers. Originally used in a French bistro, this table is suitable for indoor use but also for all-year use in an outdoor garden setting. There is ample leg-room under the top. Area of Paris, circa 1900.
Condition report: In excellent condition, the cast iron and steel base with its original, worn finish. The Carrara marble top is newly-buit for this base, and it has not been polished, but honed and waxed.
