A French Wrought Iron Chandelier
A fine, early 20th century French wrought iron chandelier of eight external lights, attached in pairs to a circular body decorated with fretted 'S' scroll-patterns. Each of the arms is decorated in the shape of scroll. Retaining its original solid steel chains and its ceiling cup. Note the wonderful blacksmith's work, with hand-made rivets and metal ties. The electrical cable is currently loose on the chandelier, and will be secured to the chains once the chandelier is hanging in the client's house. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1900.
Condition report: Complete and in excellent condition. Re-wired to Australian safety standards.
Dimensions: Diameter 80 cm, height 85 cm plus any required length of hanging-chain.
