A French ‘Rafraichissoir’ Glass Cooler

A fine, late 19th century French silver-plated, round-shaped 'Rafraichissoir' wine, Champagne and general stemmed-glasses cooler, of simple and Classic design, standing on three vine leaf scroll shaped feet, the top rim decorated with a haut-relief pattern of a grapevine and bunches of grapes. Note the excellent quality of the silversmith's work. Area of Paris, circa 1900.

Condition report: In good and un-restored condition. Requiring a good clean and polishing with Silvo, to reveal the original and nicely-worn silver and brass.

Dimensions: Diameter 33 cm, height 16 cm.
