A French ‘Gueridon’ Table

A 19th century French Louis XVI style, carved and turned ‘Gueridon’ centre table decorated with Neoclassical motifs including paterae and continuous-ribbon mouldings. The oval top fitted with its original, fossilised marble insert. The tapering legs joined by a shelf fitted with finely woven rattan. The original finish is nicely worn and faded. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
Condition report: In good and un-restored condition.
