A French Cellar’s Wine Table

A 19th century French Napoleon III period, turned oak cellar’s wine table, the octagonal top inset with “Gris Saint’Anne” black marble, standing on three baluster-turned legs. Like an English ‘cricket table’, the three legs ensure that this table can be set on an uneven floor, and not wobble. Area of Lyon, circa 1870.
