A fine Provincial Chandelier
A large, early 20th century French wrought iron and gilt tole work Provincial ‘Cage’ chandelier of six lights, each of the arms shaped in a harmonious ‘S’ scroll, ending in a drip-tray and candle, the steel structure retaining the original pressed and the gilt tole foliate decorations. Of very good proportions and workmanship, and decorated with cut crystals, ‘rosette’ crystals and large central crystal ball under the base. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1920.
Condition report: In good and original condition, retaining the original painted finish and gilding, fully wired to Australian safety standards.
