A Charles X period Gueridon Table

An early 19th century French Restauration period, (the period of the Restoration of the French monarchy under King Charles X), pedestal table of wonderfully simple and elegant design. The nicely-faded boxwood-inlaid rosewood circular top above a shaped and boxwood-inlaid pilaster standing on tripod base. Note the fine Neo Gothic boxwood inlays, comparable to designs in English regency period furniture. Retaining the original caster wheels. Area of Paris, circa 1820.
