An Auguste Moreau Statuette “Vici”
A fine and tall, French cast and gilded spelter statuette of a winged Cupid with a resting bow, an allegory for Victory, standing on its original Gris Saint-Anne pyramidal marble plinth. The brass plaque is inscribed with “Vici par Auguste Moreau, Medaille d'Or”.
This is a smaller version of Moreau’s bronze “Victrix Enfant” presented to The Paris Salon of 1896, for which he won the gold medal.
