A 19th century Loire Valley Table
An early 19th century French provincial solid oak farmhouse table of elegant and simple proportions, standing on square-section tapering legs, the wide-planked top is well-burnished and faded by use. One of the long rails is fitted with three shallow drawers retaining their original knobs. Note the wonderful patina, and the elegant corbels on each of the legs. This table will seat eight people. Area of the Loire Valley, circa 1840.
