An 18th century Chateaux’s Hunting Table
Reference No: 527
A large, early 18th century French solid oak, round-end Chateaux's hunting table, the thick (4 cm) top faded and well-burnished by use, and with a myriad of cut marks. Standing on seven sturdy, Regence baluster-turned legs joined by similarly turned stretchers. Note the excellent proportions and the wonderful, soft and faded patination. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1730.
