A vintage French "Malicorne" style white glazed majolica fruit bowl, the ceramic woven in strands to resemble a wicker basket. This bowl is designed to permit air to flow thorough it, to help preserve fruit. Area of Southern France, circa 1950.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition, showing slight surface wear in keeping with its age and use.

Dimensions: Diameter 29.5 cm, height 5 cm.
